Popular with Athenian week-enders this extremely long stretch of beach is convenient to Athens, and very clean.

Its also free from mass tourism and ideal for family vacations.

Don't expect a lot in the way of amenities and hotels but real Greek food and a slower pace!

Its clean and less windy on this stretch of coast. There are many small hamlets but the beach, although suitable for families, can get really crowded in August. I took these pictures in May.
