Greek Island of Alonissos (Sporades)

Largest member of its own archipelago, long and thin Alonissos is joined by 9 smaller islets to form an internationally recognized Marine preserve home to the endangered Mediterranean Monk seal, up to 400 pairs of Eleanora's falcon and many other rare sea birds. Only half an hour journey from Skopelos, Alonissos is among the greenest of the already green Sporades
chain and its waters boast 
3 different species of dolphins.
Alonissos is the eco-tourism Greek island and offers excellent hiking, sandy beaches, fishing and bird watching. 7 Of the 9
islands are uninhabited but only Piperi is totally off limits to visitors. The main island boasts an attractive hill top Hora
and also has many fruit trees and its own honey production. Ferry access to the mainland is best planned in advance and this
